Client SMS Notifications

TheraPrac may send SMS notifications to clients or patients on behalf of their therapy provider or practice. These messages may include appointment reminders, scheduling updates, intake form reminders, telehealth visit reminders, account notifications, billing or payment reminders, and other care-related or administrative notifications.

Clients opt in when they provide their mobile phone number through a TheraPrac intake form, scheduling form, client portal form, or provider administrative workflow.

At the time the mobile phone number is collected, the client sees an unchecked SMS consent checkbox. The client must affirmatively check the box to opt in to SMS notifications. The checkbox is not preselected, and SMS consent is not required to receive care, create an account, schedule an appointment, or purchase services.

The consent disclosure shown next to the checkbox says:

“I agree to receive recurring SMS text messages from my therapy provider or practice and TheraPrac related to appointments, scheduling, intake forms, telehealth visits, account notifications, billing or payment reminders, and other care-related or administrative updates. Message frequency varies, typically 0–10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of receiving care or purchasing services.”

Clients may opt out at any time by replying STOP. Clients may also ask their provider or practice to remove SMS notifications from their account.

This SMS program is not used for marketing, advertising, promotional messages, sales outreach, lead generation, or third-party messaging.

Secure Message Notifications

Where enabled by a therapy practice, TheraPrac may send SMS notifications when a client or patient has a new secure message, document, form, portal notification, or other communication from their provider or practice.

These SMS messages are notifications only. TheraPrac does not use SMS for open-ended clinical conversations, diagnosis, treatment decisions, emergency communication, or crisis support. Clients should sign in to the TheraPrac client portal or contact their provider or practice directly to view or respond to secure messages.

Clients opt in through the same SMS consent process used for Client SMS Notifications. At the time the mobile phone number is collected, the client sees an unchecked SMS consent checkbox with this disclosure:

“I agree to receive recurring SMS text messages from my therapy provider or practice and TheraPrac related to appointments, scheduling, intake forms, telehealth visits, account notifications, secure message notifications, billing or payment reminders, and other care-related or administrative updates. Message frequency varies, typically 0–10 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of receiving care or purchasing services.”

Examples of secure message notifications may include:

“You have a new secure message from your provider or practice. Sign in to your client portal to view it.”

“Your provider or practice sent you a form to review in the client portal.”

SMS should not be used for emergencies. If a client is experiencing an emergency or crisis, they should call 911, contact local emergency services, or use the crisis resources provided by their provider or practice.

Internal SMS Ops Alerts

TheraPrac sends internal operational SMS alerts only to TheraPrac staff and authorized contractors. These messages may include system alerts, deployment alerts, blocked process alerts, monitor alerts, failed job alerts, and requests for operator action.

There is no public signup path for this SMS program. An authorized TheraPrac staff member or contractor opts in by signing in to TheraPrac’s internal operations console, entering their own mobile phone number, and enabling SMS operational alerts.

Before SMS alerts are enabled, the staff member or contractor sees an unchecked SMS consent checkbox. The checkbox is not preselected.

The consent disclosure shown next to the checkbox says:

“I agree to receive recurring SMS operational alerts from TheraPrac at the mobile number provided. Message frequency varies, typically 0–20 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Consent is not a condition of contract or employment.”

Staff and contractors may opt out at any time by replying STOP or by removing their mobile phone number from the internal alerting configuration.

This SMS program is not used for marketing, advertising, promotional messages, patient messaging, consumer messaging, appointment reminders, billing, sales outreach, or public communications.

SMS Help and Opt-Out

Recipients may reply HELP for help or STOP to unsubscribe from SMS messages.

HELP response:

“TheraPrac SMS: Reply STOP to unsubscribe. For help, contact your provider or practice, or email support@theraprac.com. Message and data rates may apply.”

STOP response:

“You have unsubscribed from TheraPrac SMS messages and will not receive more messages from this number. Reply START to resubscribe.”

Recipients who opt out may also contact their provider, practice, or TheraPrac support for assistance with SMS notification preferences.

SMS Privacy

TheraPrac does not sell or share SMS opt-in consent, mobile phone numbers, or SMS messaging data with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

SMS data may be used only to provide, support, secure, and operate TheraPrac’s messaging services, including message delivery, troubleshooting, compliance, security, fraud prevention, and customer support.
