What "Free for Life" Means in the TheraPrac Alpha

For founding Alpha practices, TheraPrac offers free lifetime access as described below. This page explains exactly what is included, how it maps to our standard pricing, and where usage-based fees still apply.

Core Plans (Free for Life)

Alpha practices receive free access to core plans (Simple or Clinical) for up to 4 providers, for the lifetime of the product.

This includes the features normally covered under those plans, such as:

• Scheduling and calendar management
• Security features (MFA, audit logging, and role-based access controls)
• Client intake and records
• Progress notes and core clinical workflows

There is no subscription fee for core plans (Simple or Clinical) for up to four providers.

If your practice grows beyond four providers, additional providers are billed at standard per-provider rates based on your active plan. See pricing.

Telehealth (Basic Included)

Alpha practices receive Telehealth Basic at no cost.

Telehealth Basic includes:

• 3,000 minutes / provider / month
• Secure, browser-based video sessions
• One-time session links

A "minute" is counted per participant on the call.
Example: a 60-minute two-person session uses 120 minutes of included time.

Overage: $0.02 per minute beyond included minutes

Telehealth usage and upgrades

• If you exceed included minutes, overages are billed at $0.02 per minute beyond included minutes.
• If you upgrade to Telehealth Pro or Telehealth Max, the free Telehealth Basic tier is credited and you only pay the difference between tiers.

TheraPrac Pay (Subscription Waived)

TheraPrac Pay is optional and only required if you accept payments through TheraPrac.

TheraPrac Pay enables secure client payments, receipts, refunds, payouts, and audit-ready transaction tracking for the practice. It is required only if you accept card payments. Insurance Billing is a separate optional add-on for paneled providers.

TheraPrac Pay Fees

TheraPrac Pay fees consist of a monthly subscription per organization NPI, a per-transaction platform fee, and Stripe processing fees on each payment.

What is waived

• The $49 per month TheraPrac Pay subscription for one organization NPI is permanently waived.

What is not waived

• Additional organization NPI subscriptions beyond the first
• TheraPrac Platform Fee ($0.25 + 0.5% per transaction, deducted from each payment)
• Stripe processing fees ($0.30 + 2.9% per transaction, deducted from each payment)

Insurance Billing (Subscription Waived)

Insurance Billing is optional and only required if you submit claims, check eligibility, or receive ERAs through TheraPrac.

Insurance Billing enables claims submission, eligibility checks, ERA processing, and claim status tracking without leaving TheraPrac. It is for providers who are already paneled with the payers they bill.

Insurance Billing Fees

Insurance Billing fees consist of a monthly subscription per organization NPI and a per-transaction fee for each insurance transaction processed.

What is waived

• The $49 per month Insurance Billing subscription for one organization NPI is permanently waived.

What is not waived

• Additional organization NPI subscriptions beyond the first
• Insurance Transaction Fee ($0.25 per transaction)

What "Free for Life" Does Not Mean

Free lifetime access does not include:

• Additional provider seats beyond four
• Telehealth usage beyond included minutes
• Telehealth tier upgrades beyond the credited amount
• Additional TheraPrac Pay or Insurance Billing organization NPI subscriptions beyond one
• TheraPrac Platform Fee, Stripe processing fees, and Insurance Transaction Fees
• Optional future add-ons that include third-party or usage-based costs
• Custom development or practice-specific configurations

If new paid features or add-ons are introduced in the future, Alpha practices will always retain free access to the included core benefits described on this page.

What Happens If the Alpha Program Ends

The Alpha Program closed to new practices on August 1, 2026. For founding Alpha practices already enrolled, the program may still transition to general availability (or otherwise change for future product phases) on advance notice as described in the Alpha Program Agreement. If that happens, Alpha practices in good standing keep their core Free Seats (up to four providers on Simple or Clinical) at zero cost; they are transitioned to a standard subscription with the Free Seats preserved. Termination of the Alpha Program does not by itself terminate Free Seats. Usage-based fees (telehealth overages, TheraPrac Platform Fee, Stripe processing fees, Insurance Transaction Fees, additional providers beyond four, and additional organization NPI subscriptions beyond one) continue to apply at standard rates. Free Seats may end if the practice materially breaches the Alpha Program Agreement, the Terms of Service, or the Business Associate Agreement.
